It would not be inconceivable that soil contamination also played a role in the mass tree mortality. Within this pilot a comprehensive soil investigation was carried out, including laboratory analyses. Based on the results of these analyses, solutions that are practicable and affordable are being sought in cooperation with the Mönchengladbacher Abfall-, Grün- und Straßenbetrieben (MAGS).
